Branch Retail Manager

Hours:             37.5 hours per week. 
Contract:         Permanent with one year probation
Reporting to:  Branch Manager
Location:        York Animals Home and Charity Retail Units.
Salary:            £25,000 p.a.

A new and exciting opportunity is available for the right candidate, to manage and develop our retail network, as our Branch Retail Manager. Our current retail operation includes 4 charity shops in Acomb, Harrogate, Selby and York City Centre, as well as an internet sales outlet and a small pet accessories shop at the York Animals Home. The duties will include:-

To maximise the Branch’s existing retail income and to develop new opportunities for income generation, within the Branch catchment area, to assist the Branch in the achievement of its aims and objectives.

To manage the strategic development of the Branch’s retail operations with focus on key areas, ensuring high and consistent standards across all retail units and identifying and launching successful new retail opportunities. 

To recruit, support and develop the retail team of volunteers and staff, to maximise income and deliver excellent customer service. Current retail team - 10 retail staff; FTE 7.4 and circa 50 retail volunteers.

Organise successful methods of attracting stock, including donation stations, and ensure stock is distributed to shops in a manner that maximises the best return. Encourage and manage the rotation of stock between the retail units.

Internet Sales Co-ordinator

Hours:             22.5 hours per week. 
Contract:         Permanent with one year probation
Reporting to:  Branch Manager
Location:        16 Commercial Street, Harrogate, HG1 1TY
Salary:            £9,605 p.a. (FTE £16,000 p.a.)
Closing Date:  15th October 2017

A new and exciting opportunity is available for the right candidate, to develop and manage all our internet sales for our branch area. The role is currently advertised at three days per week but it is anticipated that the hours will increase, as the internet sales grow. We are looking for a highly motivated individual who has strong organisational skills. The duties will include:-

To lead, develop and manage the RSPCA York, Harrogate and District Branch online sales operations, to ensure that it delivers on profit and customer service.

To achieve agreed sales and profit targets by maximising sales and controlling direct operational expenses. 
 
Deliver excellent customer service and achieve the agreed positive customer feedback targets.

Use online resources to value and identify stock suitable for sale.

Create interesting and accurate product description for all listings.
