I walk nicely on a lead
Buzz
Age: 2.5 years oldSex: MaleBreed: GreyhoundAdoption fee: £200.00
Gorgeous boy Buzz came to the centre after quite a bad injury caused him to retire from racing. He was clearly lame when he first arrived and after having x-rays it was found he had actually fractured his shoulder at some point in the past. He is now on pain relief which he will need long term and he is feeling much better. Due to his past injury he will get arthritis earlier than the average dog, please do not let this put you off, if any dog deserves a loving new home, it's Buzz.
Buzz is a little unsure and timid when meeting new people, with a soft word and a gentle touch he soon realises he actually enjoys getting a fuss. Buzz needs adopters who will take him under their wing and reassure him from now on everything is going to be just fine. He is a very special boy who deserves the most loving, understanding home with a family who will love him unconditionally. He may not be able to go for long hikes but he will make up for that with lots and lots of love and cuddles.
Being an ex racer he will never have lived in a home so his adopters will need to help him adjust, greyhounds tend to settle in to the home just fine and even better if he had a sofa to snooze and chill out on.
Buzz is much more confident when he is with other dogs and currently shares a kennel with Shorty a lovely female greyhound so if there is anyone out there who is looking for a companion for their existing dog then Buzz may just be the dog for you. He is suitable to live with other dogs of similar size after a successful introduction at the centre, unfortunately he can not live with cats or small animals and must be an adult only home.
My personality...
I need teaching that it’s ok to be alone
I need an adult only home
I love to snooze
I may be able to live with another dog
I love food and treats
