I’d love to learn agility or fly ball
Doug
Age: 13 months approxSex: MaleBreed: Patterdale Terrier
Doug came to the centre via the local Stray Dog service, he was absolutely terrified of everyone and everything when he first arrived here at the centre. It is hard to imagine what he could have gone through to warrant such fear, Doug was given the time and space to decompress, and begin to learn that we wanted to be friends and were not going to let anything bad happen to him.
Once Doug had settled and built a bond with one member of staff he was then slowly introduced to more members of staff and then volunteers. Seeing Doug now it is hard to imagine just how scared he was. Doug is now ready to face the big wide world and he is looking forward to exploring with his new family. Doug however can still find new situations a little scary even though he is keen to investigate, so his new family will need to be aware and keep him safe.
We are looking for adopters who are experienced with the working terrier breed and the associated behaviours that come with them. Doug is a super intelligent dog with so much potential to be the most wonderful, fun filled and loving best friend.
Doug could live with a female dog after a successful introduction at the centre in an adult only home.
