Adopt an animal

Kevin

Age: 14 months old approxSex: MaleBreed: Dogue de BordeauxAdoption fee: £200.00

Kevin is a sweet but shy boy who came to the centre via an inspector after being seized as part of a prosecution case. After lengthy legal proceedings Kevin is now ready to find himself a loving new home. Kevin has had such a troubled start to life and this has left him very nervous of people he does not know and new surroundings. He has been having some training to help with this whilst here at the centre and his adopters will need to continue with this to help him succeed with his transition into a new home. Potential adopters will need to meet with the centres behaviourist in order to carry on with his training, he does have specific needs with his continued training and introductions to the big wide world.

Once Kevin has built up a bond with his people, he really is a very sweet, friendly and truly marvellous dog and he is very much loved here at the centre. Kevin's adopters will need to have some experience with giant breeds of dogs and also dogs with a nervous disposition. His insecurities will more than likely be with him for life, so he needs adopters who will manage these and keep him safe. Kevin would like to walk in quiet areas, low traffic areas, away from main roads as he can find traffic and busy places worrying. He would love access to quiet country walks or green spaces either on foot or within a short drive from the home.  You will be rewarded with a very loving, loyal and fantastic best friend.

Kevin is super social with other dogs and gains confidence when in their company, it would be great if he could share his home with another confident dog, although we know due to his size this is a big ask so not essential. He will need adopters who are home most of the time while he settles in, Kevin can live with other dogs but will need an adult only home.
