I walk nicely on a lead
Mel
Age: 2 years approxSex: FemaleBreed: GreyhoundAdoption fee: £200.00
Mel is a very sweet girl who came to the centre after she retired from racing early due to an injury. Unfortunately she broke her hock on the track so she is now looking for a loving new home. Mel really is a lovely girl who has settled in at the centre straight away, she is friendly, affectionate and enjoying her retirement. She walks well on the lead and enjoys her time out, sniffing in the country air and meeting new people.
Mel is always up for a fuss and a cuddle and will stay with you for as long as she can, savouring every moment she gets to spend with you. Due to her coming straight from the track, she has never lived in a proper family home for which her new adopters will have to bare in mind while she settles in. Ex racers tend to settle into family life very quickly with very few issues, so long as they have a sofa to sprawl on they are happy dogs.
Mel is suitable to live with a compatible dog after a successful introduction at the centre and children aged 12 years and over. Mel will need pain relief as when needed due to the injury she previously suffered.
My personality...
I need teaching that it’s ok to be alone
I could live with children of secondary school age
I’m quiet but full of love
I may be able to live with another dog
I love fuss and attention
