I walk nicely on a lead
Shorty
Age: 2 years approxSex: FemaleBreed: Greyhound
Shorty is a very sweet girl who came to the centre when she was retired from racing. Shorty has a fantastic and loving nature who has settled in to life here at the centre well with no issues.
From day one Shorty has been gentle, kind and very affectionate with all the staff and is enjoying all the love and attention she is getting. She really looks forward to her walks out of the grounds where she walks very well on the lead, she loves all the sniffs and scenery the countryside has to offer. In true greyhound character Shorty thoroughly enjoys as much fusses and cuddles she can get and will instantly lean in to you. Shorty is looking forward to a bright future with her new family who will love and spoil her.
Being an ex racer she will never have lived in a home so her adopters will need to help her adjust, greyhounds tend to settle in to the home just fine and even better if she had a sofa to snooze and chill out on.
Shorty can live with another dog of similar size, unfortunately she can not live with cats or small animals and is suitable to live with children aged 12 years and over.
My personality...
I need teaching that it’s ok to be alone
I could live with children of secondary school age
I’m quiet but full of love
I may be able to live with another dog
I love food and treats
