Thank you to BBC Breakfast for featuring our York Animal Home on TV this week. We told the heart-breaking story of rescue dog Max, who was beaten by his owners before being brought to us by inspectors.
Thankfully, 18-months on, Max's life could not be further away from the terror of his former home as he is showered with love and kindness from his new owner James Taylor.
Being able to help dogs like Max is exactly why we do what we do. No dog should have to go through what he did, but we are so pleased that his story has a happy ending.
To support our work here at the York Animal Home, please consider becoming a monthly SuPAWter. From just £3 a month, you can play a vital role in helping animals like Max

From donations to volunteering, we need help to care for the animals that are brought to us, for so many different reasons.
