Worried about an animal that is not yours? - If you are concerned about the welfare of an animal or need to report cruelty, please contact the national help line on 0300 1234 999. Please do not use the contact form on this page or ring the York Animal Home, for animal welfare concerns, as we will not be able to help you.
Animal Welfare Advice - You can use a virtual assistant to find your nearest vets, council, police or fire & rescue as well as answer most animal welfare questions.
For more advice on caring for pets please also read the 'All about animals' page on the National RSPCA website - click here
Veterinary Care - We do not have a resident vet and therefore cannot assist with any emergency treatment your pet may need. You need to contact your own vet.
We do try to get it right first time but if we fail we do need to know about it, so we can learn from it. Please contact us using the above form and someone will get back to you as soon as possible to resolve your complaint.
