Adopt an animal from us
Can you give one of our animals their forever home? Dogs, cats and small animals - take a look at who's waiting to meet you.
Helping you
In 2015 we reunited 84 animals with their owners in the York Area, all because they were microchipped and the registration details were up to date. That's 84 animals happy to be back with their families and 84 animals we don't have to find new homes for!
Thousands of pets are lost every year and many are never reunited with their owners – microchipping will change that. While collars and tags can get caught or removed – microchipping identifies your pet permanently and effectively.
On 6th April 2016 it became a legal requirement to microchip all dogs in England, Wales and Scotland and to register with a database.
Micro chipping is only effective if you keep your details up to date. If you move house or change your telephone number you must make sure that you tell the database you are registered with so that they have your up-to-date contact details.
If you need help with microchipping your pet and you live in one of our postcode areas, please call us on 01904 654949 during our opening hours.
If your pet is lost then include this matching service in your efforts to locate them. www.petslocated.com

From donations to volunteering, we need help to care for the animals that are brought to us, for so many different reasons.
