For the 100-mile riders registration will open at 7.30am. For the middle distance route registration will open at 8.30am and the short route at 9am. Registration closes at 9.15am
Riders will be set off in small groups starting at 7.50am for the 100-milers, 8.40am for the middle distance and 9.10 for the short distance. Everyone should be on the road by 9.30am
Yes, on the day entries will be available but will be charged at £40. The relevant desk will be open from 7.30-9.15am.
There is no age limit, but for anyone under the age of 18 it will be a requirement that you are accompanied on the Ride by a responsible adult and that a parent/guardian signs on the day that they give their permission.
6pm (any riders on the routes after this time will be required to withdraw from the ride and hand over their rider numbers/chips). Very slow riders may be picked up and moved on. There will also be cut off times at route split points.
No, food and drinks (including energy drinks) will be provided at all the feed stations for FREE. Please advise if you have any dietary issues at least one week prior to the Ride and we will attempt to accommodate you.
Yes, it’s mandatory to wear one on the Ride.
We recommend that you have appropriate cover for you and your bike.
We recommend that you bring along at least one spare inner tube and tools for changing one. Common spare parts will be available for most bikes, but they are chargeable..
You will be given a card at registration with a phone number on to contact our Event Control, who will help you.
There are changing and shower facilities available at the start/finish venue and toilets at all the feed stations. There are a few lockers available at the Sports Centre (you will need a £1 coin) otherwise please lock your belongings in your car or carry them with you. Hot and cold drinks, biscuits etc will be available at the start/finish.
Entry fees are non-refundable. A rider may transfer their place to the following year subject to contacting the event manager prior to the day of the Ride.
If you have a general entry you do not need to do so, but any donations, sponsorship or fundraising monies will be very much appreciated (the exception to this is may be if you have bought your place from an RSPCA Branch other than the York, Harrogate & District one). There is ample FREE parking at the University.
